Are you bored by the boringness of coffee time? plain old coffee with milk making you dread coffee time? Well look no further!
1. Buy flavor syrups. You can make a basic latte by putting some espresso (I actually use regular coffee :P) in a cup (fill it about a sixths of the cup) and fill the rest with hot milk. You can buy syrups at Starbucks and various grocery stores. Gingerbread is my favorite, but get a few and experiment. See what is good with what. Just make sure they're in date! I know that from experience.
2. Spices. You can upgrade your coffee to make it taste like t isn't coffee. Put a little bit of allspice in your coffee. Or a light sprinkle of nutmeg. Or a bucket load of cinnamon. I like how you can put tons of cinnamon into coffee, but if it's too much for you, make some cinnamon sugar and put that in instead.
And why just limit syrup and spice to coffee? It is just as good in hot chocolate. (spices are especially good in dark hot chocolate). In fact now I drink a lot more hot chocolate than I do coffee, and I always put cinnamon in mine <3!
3. Just drink something else instead! Make some hot spiced apple cider! What I do is use a slow cooker and put two large-ish bottles of apple juice in. I then leave in a slice of an orange ( if you don't have any just use some orange juice. If you don't have orange juice either you can just leave it out all together) and a cinnamon stick in to soak. Then I put in some cloves, nutmeg and allspice. TASTE AS YOU GO ALONG! That's the secret to success. After you add all the ingredients then leave it on the warm setting for a couple hours to let the flavors develop. Enjoy!
You can also find lots and lots of flavors of hot chocolate. Like candy cane, mint, white, dark, maple, gingerbread, peppermint, etc. If you want extra good hot chocolate then you can make it yourself. Now I'm about to show you the hot chocolate recipe that has lifted my spirits on the worst of days. It is the best hot chocolate recipe I have ever came across and my mom gave it to me a few months ago.
Put 1/4 of a cup of high quality semisweet chocolate chips, a teaspoon of sugar and 1/4 of a cup of milk in a microwavable mug.
Microwave it for 20 seconds, take it out and stir it, repeat until the chocolate chips melt into the milk.
Put 1/2 of a cup of milk into a microwaveable cup. Microwave it until it is hot.
Pour the milk into the rest of the mix, stir it, and enjoy!
So in 3 easy ways, you can enjoy your coffee time 10000000 times more.
