It's Winter!

A couple days ago I breathed in the air and it smelled like winter (yes, to me winter has a smell). My hands got numbingly cold as they only do in the winter. So, from now on to me it's winter.
I was excited about it a couple of days ago, but yesterday I was playing football in the park after school with my friends and I'm usually not half bad but today I FAILED unepicly. It better not be because it's winter. I don't want it to be cold outside, just inside so I can snuggle up with a blanket and hot chocolate.

That was about a week ago. It was just cold that day. It has actually been unseasonably warm, June warm. And that's saying something. This time last year we were covered with snow, so Mother Weather must be making it up to us this year, or something. I'm really grateful, to say the least. And my parents might disagree but I think it's really warm at  night. But for some reason I'm only ever cold in the morning. :P
Lately the sun has been out and it hasn't been raining too much. The ground is always wet, but that's because it's really misty.
It has been misty for the last two weeks or so. It's great because when I'm playing in the park with my friends after school, my hair gets wet and curly and it isn't even raining!
I also like walking home from school in the sunset. It's very pretty to say the least. All those pinks, blues, a hint of green, a dream pallette for an artist.  I've been drawing like crazy, but more than 90% of the time I don't colour it. I draw manga and manga comics are left uncoloured unless you're getting a big fancy one.....

I am truly going through hyper-art-rainbow-crazy-amazing-hard-tiring-awesomeness time and I haven't been doing much else. I've found that music is more inspiring than reading other manga, surprisingly. Not saying that I never read it. I've got over half a shelf dedicated to my loved manga comics. I've got tons of learn how to draw manga books, only two of which I use :P

Today I watched a program that really made me think: will it snow?
I've been procrastinating the thought for a while, but should I really?
I mean for one it's beautiful. But on the other hand it's very hard to get out of the house.
I've come across very mixed opinions about it and to be honest, the only people who seem to be enjoying it are the kids! :P What I like most about snow is being able to sit inside with a warm mug of hot chocolate and watch the snow fall. It is awesome, literally. It looks as if life itself has stopped, the clocks have stopped ticking. Like nothing has existed for years and slowly it was forgotten, all apart from the little robins, occasionally sitting on the ground. But.....
SNOW DISRUPTS TRAVELING
 More schools closed
Snow Costs Lives
Cornwall's coldest winter ever recorded
University's coldest winter ever recorded
And so on. People died, most of them because of a road incident. It's astonishing and also slightly scary how much weather affects our regular lives. Even the small things, like whether you will have a hot chocolate because it's cold. It can also make bigger changes, like being stranded in a foreign country for who knows how long. 7,000 schools in the UK were closed on the 2nd of December alone, and I think we had 3 weeks of no going to school.  Then we only had a couple weeks until Christmas.
It's also hard to believe that it started dumping snow November last year. It may not seem like much, but that was a year ago. This time a year ago I was only a couple weeks away from either a trapped snow nightmare, or a winter wonderland paridise.  But lately it's been unseasonably warm( As I mentioned a week later) so I think it will snow, but not nearly as bad as it has done for the last few years.

Random thing of the week: The weirdest thing I have ever eaten is.......Raw squid! It tasted like aubergine /zuchinii.

See you later! :D
